3 Easy DIY Winter Crafts

Today is Black Friday, and that means that Christmas is officially here! If you’re like me then you can’t wait to start decorating, but I also like to make things while I still have time during my Thanksgiving break. This means DIY winter decorations, that are super easy and festive, and look great around the house! Here are three of my favorite projects:

1- Paper Snowflakes

I know you all remember making these when you were a kid. They are so super easy, and if you know the right way to fold them then it’s almost impossible to make a “bad” design. This website has a great step-by-step tutorial and some starter designs to get your creative juices flowing. I like to hang up my snowflakes on the windows and doors, but you can put them virtually anywhere you want a little snowy decoration!

2- Snow Globes

Snow globes are my favorite holiday decoration. There’s something about looking at a little microcosmic world of eternal Christmas that is just completely charming and timeless to me. If you’ve never made one before, here is a simple tutorial by Martha Stewart – you only need a few materials to make them, and they’re great handmade presents, too!

3- Fake Presents

No, I don’t mean joke presents – I mean wrapping boxes or pictures that are laying around the house and turning them into decorative presents that you can place on a shelf or bookcase. Take this as a chance to use that nice wrapping paper that you love, but everyone rips to shreds without a second thought!

I hope these ideas were helpful for your holiday decorating – try to keep in mind what the holidays are about, and enjoy the time you get to spend with family and friends!
