Nail Polish Inspiration: Dark Green + Glitter
It’s feeling like fall! For this mani, I wanted to go for a deeper green to pay homage to the color of the year (Emerald), while still keeping it fun and autumn appropriate. Here’s what I came up with that’s subtle enough to wear to work, yet fun enough to feel like you dressed up for a night out:
Orly Sparkling Garbage + essie Stylenomics
Taken indoors under artificial lighting, the glint of Sparkling Garbage really brings out the green undertones of Stylenomics (even though it’s difficult to see in this picture). I applied two coats of Stylesnomics on all nails, two coats of Sparkling Garbage on my accent nails, and finally one top coat.

I love this color combination and, with any luck and hopefully very few dishes to wash, am looking forward to rocking it for awhile. Look at some of the other great designs people have come up with to compliment the unique shade of Sparkling Garbage below:

Inspired by my mani or post? Send me a picture! What do you think about Sparkling Garbage? Do you think it’s subtle enough to be wearable in the workplace, or is it more of a weekend look? Let me know in the comments below!

Sunday Spins: Floor Hooping
Welcome to Sunday Spins! A weekly post where I share the hoop love — hope you guys enjoy!
This week I wanted to showcase a video that focuses on both gentle and athletic floor hooping, which could be good for anyone recovering from a leg injury. This is by Jenny Hoopnosis, and it shows how you can start to integrate floor work into your hooping routine. Check out her calming, yet athletic video below:
As for hoops, here’s a neat zebra print one from Etsy sure to bring out your animalistic side!
What do you think about Jenny Hoopnosis’ floor video? Do you think you would be able to incorporate some of her moves into your routine? What do you think about the zebra print hoop?
Nail Polish Inspiration: Mint
Time for some more mani fun! After drooling over some gorgeous Tiffany’s jewelry, I was inspired to create a mint/teal nail design. While I don’t have China Glaze For Audrey (although I have been eyeing it for awhile…), I do have essie Mint Candy Apple, and so that’s what I went with and I absolutely adore it!
essie Mint Candy Apple + Sally Hansen Hard as Nails French White Tip
A little sloppy, I know, but I forgot to take a picture after clean up! This picture was taken indoors in artificial lighting with two coats of polish and a top coat, although it remains pretty true to color. I love how the little polka dots add some visual interest for a mid-week pick me up! I always get tons of compliments whenever I wear this color, and it lasted until I took it off over a week later! Try it out for yourself and check out what other crafty designs lacqueristas have done with this polish below:
